Art Gallery Studio Antonio Cortés is a father and son parntnership exhibiting the art of Puerto Rican painter Antonio Cortés Rolón.
At the age of 6, the artist started showing a growing interest of the arts, inspired by the mountain views that surrounded him. During his teen years, he began painting landscapes with United States artist Henry Morgan, and ventured into modern art with Puerto Rican artist Edwin Mauras. Antonio would go on to study Pedagogy with a concentration in arts at the Interamerican University of San Germán, Puerto Rico, from where he completed his Bachelor’s Degree in 1978. Eventually, he would continue to pursue post-graduate studies, obtaining his Master’s Degree in Fine Arts at the University of New York in 1985, as well as a Doctor’s Degree in Museology at the University of Seville in Spain in 2005 and Historiography at the Puerto Rico Caribbean Advanced Studies Center in 2006. Now via this father/son partnership, the artist builds upon the fruits of his legacy.
